Gedson Fernandes looks to be edging closer to a Premier League move.

The 21-year-old Benfica midfielder has been linked with a number of English clubs recently including ,  and .

But it seems Fernandes, who has featured 59 times for Benfica’s senior side, has chosen to move to Tottenham.

According to , the promising talent is due to have a medical with Spurs on Monday ahead of an 18-month loan deal.

The BBC would also confirm Fernandes has been targeted by David Moyes’ West Ham but he has instead opted for a move to North London.

The report from BBC Sport didn’t mention if Spurs had the option to buy the Benfica star once his loan was finished.

However, have also published a report concerning Fernandes’ move to Spurs.

And SSN would claim in said report that Tottenham will have the option to sign Fernandes for €65m.

Tottenham’s next clash sees them take on Middlesbrough in an FA Cup 3rd round replay on Tuesday.
