AC Milan have confirmed the signing of Sevilla centre-back Simon Kjaer on a loan deal with the option to buy.
But it could be awkward when he crosses paths with new team-mate Zlatan Ibrahimovic as the Swede grabbed Kjaer by his throat during a game for Manchester United against Fenerbahce.
Kjaer responded after the game by branding the striker ‘an arrogant, chest-puffing player’.

No doubt he will hope that their previous confrontation will be water under the bridge now.
Kjaer’s loan runs until the summer and the Italian side will then make a decision over whether to make the move permanent.
AC Milan broke the news on their official Twitter account and he will speak at a press conference on Thursday.
A statement on the club’s website read: ‘AC Milan have reached an agreement with Sevilla FC for the acquisition of Simon Kjaer on a six-month loan until June 30, 2020, with an option to make the deal permanent.
Kjaer posed alongside (L-R) Ivan Gazidis, Paolo Maldini and Frederic Massara
‘Kjær, born in Horsens (Denmark) on March 26, 1989, started his career in the academy at FC Midtjylland, making his first-team debut in the 2007/08 season.
‘During his career, he has also played with US Palermo, VfL Wolfsburg, AS Roma, LOSC Lille, Fenerbahçe SK, Sevilla FC and Atalanta BC, registering 20 goals in a total of 408 appearances.
‘Kjær has been the captain of the Denmark national team since 2016, with three goals in 95 appearances.’
Despite the reinforcement in defence, the club are reportedly still interested in signing Jerome Boateng from Bayern Munich.
Arsenal also retain an interest in the experienced German World Cup winner.
Kjaer is an experienced defender and should help sure things up at the back for AC Milan
